Your reaction is optional.
Well. In most cases.
Let me explain the matter to you with a 2-minute experiment.
Are you ready?

Let’s start…
Pause all your thinking for half a minute.
Think about a few past incidents where you reacted for another 30 seconds.
Now, carefully think about how many times you were asked to react to those events.
And finally, think about the changes you’re reacted made to those events.
What is the result?
In most cases,
- you were not invited to react,
- your reactions did not change the outcome of the event and
- situations got worse if you reacted wrong.

That is why, my friend, I would like to request you not to react immediately to everything, unless and until:
- life & death situation arises.
- you are getting paid to react.
- you are being asked to react with all due respect.
However, you should observe everything very carefully.
But calmly.
